The true face of food intolerance tests

Food intolerance tests can not tell which foods the body can not tolerate and can not cure chronic fatigue obesity, migraine from migraine, rheumatism, and psoriasis.

Tests known as names such as "food intolerance", "nutritional sensitivity" or "food sensitivity" tests have become almost fashionable in recent years. There are many companies that produce these tests and these are often referred to by their names. By taking a drop of blood, antibodies against IgG are measured against hundreds of foods, and those foods are shown to be the cause of the disease in that person. However, the identification of these antibodies against any food in these tests means that he or she has met the food and that the immune system perceives it as a foreign protein.

Vital food has an "objectionable" mark!

Food tolerance tests can be harmful as well as cause unnecessary money and time loss and create confusion. Foods and beverages such as onions, garlic, tomatoes, parsley, croissants, arugula, nuts, walnuts, fish, yoghurt, cheese, olives, butter, coffee and tea, which are required to be eaten in order to live healthy in these tests which can be made against hundreds of foods, It may occur. The prohibition of these foods does not work, but on the contrary it also invites malnutrition and diseases.

As IgG is normal in a person who has an IgA-mediated anaphylaxis against a food, the person can be forced to anaphylaxis by allowing the food to be eaten. I would like to remind myself that as a physician who has encountered people with an allergic disease almost every day, I do not even want this test from one person to date.

There is not enough scientific evidence to prove that these tests work, and they are not already done in any university hospital. None of the world's leading science organizations on allergy and immunology, and no scientific guidelines recommend these tests to determine food intolerance. Moreover, the price of these tests is several hundred dollars.

Antibody presence does not mean disease

The presence of an antibody does not show an intolerance towards the food, namely intolerance, allergy or hypersensitivity, ie, hypersensitivity, indicating that the body is in contact with that food.

This is a physiological response. Antibodies can be produced from the IgG class against all foodstuffs that are eaten, and the relative level of these antibodies varies according to the genes and the diets. These antibodies can be detected frequently in healthy children and adults, regardless of whether or not there are indications of food.

The presence of IgG antibodies indicates not only a disease but also the body's exposure to that food. According to the results of these tests, the main reason for the improvement of those foods by removing them from the diet is that the processed sugar, grain, trans fats or "ready foods" are prohibited at the same time.

Understandable by controlled nutrient loading test

There is of course a clinical picture of food intolerance and I think it is very common and increasingly increasing, but these tables do not have a common mechanism. For example, "lactose intolerance" is the lack of lactase enzyme in the intestines and it is not possible to show this by the food intolerance test. The simplest way to demonstrate food intolerance is to remove the "food and symptom diary" accurately and in detail, as well as to remove the suspect food from the diet (elimination) and repeat the diet. The gold standard method for diagnosis is the double-blind, placebo-controlled nutrient loading test.

I come to the conclusion

Food intolerance tests can not tell which foods the body can not tolerate and can not cure chronic fatigue obesity, migraine from migraine, rheumatism, and psoriasis. Patients waiting for a miracle from these tests do not risk their money and their health.
